On Your Mark, Get Set, Make Your Mark!

Old-school masters like Michelangelo slaved over their art for years and years, creating masterpieces at a snail's pace. But tonight at 7 p.m., artists of all skill levels are invited to knock out a series of collaborative works in a whirlwind evening of furious fun at the "Speed Art Meet & Greet" at the Northern Arts Council building (486 Airport Road, Ferguson). No fewer than ten works of art will be created before 10 p.m., each to be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit NAC. There's no charge to participate, but tickets are required, and you need to bring your own supplies (about a grocery bag's worth is recommended). Sign up at or call 314-324-4298. A cash bar will be at the ready to assist those searching for inspiration, and a scrumptious spread of finger foods will be dished out free of charge — just make sure you wipe the paint off your paws before you dig in!
