Or Should We Say Feta-val? 

Of all the great pleasures in life -- running through fields of blooming flowers, hitting an over-the-fence home run, curling up in a comfy chair with a good book -- we can think of none better than attending a lively, delicious, belly-filling food festival. Maybe it's because a food fest doesn't happen every weekend, making it a special can't-miss experience, or maybe it's because no one goes to such an affair in a bad mood (there's an unwritten rule -- if you're fussy, you stay home). Whatever the reason, we'll be bringing our happy faces and eating pants to the St. Louis County Greek Fest at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church (1755 Des Peres Road, Town & Country; 314-966-2255). Held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday (May 24 to 27), this fete honors all things Greek with plenty of eats -- gyros, pastitsio (beef-noodle casserole), spanakopita (spinach-feta pie), galatobouriko (a must-eat custardy dessert), you name it -- along with live music, church tours, a gift shop and more.
