Overcoming Inspiration: Experiencing Acceptance

Overcoming Inspiration: Experiencing Acceptance is our response to the growing trend to view those living with challenges as inspiring. While often well-intentioned, it puts focus on the disadvantage--disability, status, demographic, circumstance, etc.-- rather than the individual. This exhibit is a collection of artwork that highlights what it means to our artists to live and thrive in today's world. Each artist carefully designed their pieces & their unique style can be seen throughout. It is a testament to what can be achieved when given opportunity and encouragement. And, it serves as a reminder that we are first and foremost people--Artists First! Opening reception on February 21 from 5:30-7:30pm
