A full performance, featuring Rimsky-Korsakov’s polonaise from Christmas Eve, Rodgers’ The Sound of Music: A Symphonic Picture and Falla’s “Ritual Fire Dance” from El amor brujo (as well as several other pieces), is scheduled, and you’ll pay nothing for the pleasure -- it’s an absolutely free evening. Now come on: The symphony’s giving this one away, so you have no excuse not to go, unless you’re just plain rude.
