Pillow Talk

8:30 p.m. Saturday, January 28. Lemmons, 5800 Gravois Avenue.

After recently nabbing the title as one of the RFT's Seven Bands to Watch in 2012, the artist formerly known as Ping Pong will be giving up the goods in an unofficial showcase of St. Louis' weird punk underbelly. Featuring members of Glass Teeth and There's a Killer Among Us, Pillow Talk's pedigree provides a stable basis of punked-out noise and dysfunctional math rock. Save for the established squall of Shaved Women, the evening's entertainment will come from newcomers, including the Winchester (a side project of fun-punks Black for a Second and the Haddonsfields) and Black Panties, featuring Gateway Drug's Luc Michalski.

Be That Guy: See what happens when you throw an insult at rising comedian Jeff Robtoy of Pillow Talk, one of St. Louis' best hecklers.
