Pippin is a young man who goes in search of himself. His father is Charlemagne, who is busy running the kingdom; father and son don't have much time for each other. Encouraged by a troupe of players, Pippin hits the road and tries casual sex, religion and revolution, but nothing fulfills him. Stephen Schwartz's Pippin is an unconventional musical about what makes life worth living, enhanced by daring acrobatics and a number of great songs ("Corner of the Sky" and "Glory" among them). The 2013 Tony-award winnner for best revival visits the Peabody for a five-night run.
