Put Remy's on Your Radar

When Ludacris encourages you to shake, shake, shake your money maker, we're pretty sure he's not talking about you movin' your belly. But if you were a trained belly dancer like the members of Belly Dance Mirage, your tummy might make you some cash. After all, how else could these performers afford those sparkly, jingly costumes? To get a closer look at the Mirage dancers' skills — and their pretty clothes — drop by Remy's Kitchen & Wine Bar (222 South Bemiston Avenue, Clayton; on Thursdays for belly dancing and live music (on Thursday, January 11, the Peter Schlamb Trio gives the ladies something to bump to). Watching the performance is free, the food is delish (when fondue is an option, how can you go wrong?), and the wine list is expansive (30-plus wines are offered by the glass, and flights are available). The dancing begins around 9 p.m., and the kitchen doesn't close until 10 p.m. To make sure you get a table, call 314-726-5757.
Thursdays, 10 p.m. Starts: June 21. Continues through Nov. 18, 2007
