Ramp Riders

If you possess a device with two or more wheels which also relies on self-powered conveyance, and like to do tricks on said device, there’s a good chance Ramp Riders is your kind of place. It’s a 30,000 square-foot indoor skate park housed in a former Falstaff Brewery warehouse just off Gravois Avenue in Benton Park. Hidden beyond the questionable exterior is a wonder world of wooden ramps, quarter pipes and rails that’s known as one of the top skate parks in the region. The atmosphere is a bit janky — old mattresses strapped around structural support beams will do that — but this is definitely a professional operation. The pro shop can take care of any purchases or repairs you might need, and helmets are required to use the park. Admission is $10 and $65 gets you a 10-session pass. Private lessons are also available and you can even rent the facility, just like Lil’ Wayne did when he was in town on a tour stop.
