The St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds in a mid-August game is a classic Central Division match-up. Both teams are (at the time of this writing) within three games of each other and just outside contention for the National League lead. A three-game sweep would do a world of good for either team, but the Meat Loaf classic (two-out-of-three) wouldn't be bad, either. Fortunately for the home team, the Cardinals have taken every series against the Reds this season, so perhaps the new-look Redbirds can pick up the sweep and start a decisive run towards the playoffs. The Cardinals take on the Reds at 7:15 Monday and Tuesday and 6:15 p.m. Wednesday (August 18 through 20) at Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar Street; 314-345-9600 or www.stlcardinals.com). Tickets are $10.80 to $205.80.
