Reliving Legends

Musician and celebrity-tribute artist Paul Eve brings his look-alike and sound-alike spirit and song, portraying legends such as Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Gene Simmons and Wayne Newton for Cash and the King at 7 p.m. tonight at the Ivory Theatre (7620 Michigan Avenue; 314-631-8330 or www.theivorytheatre.com). Eve, who is billed as “America’s Ultimate Tribute Artist,” arrives in St. Louis from the Hollywood Casino for this benefit concert, with all proceeds benefiting the Ivory Theatre. More than just a pretty voice, Eve’s trademark takes on his muses' hair, makeup and mannerisms makes for an enthralling experience unmatched by other tribute acts -- and, for fans of Cash and Presley, a nostalgic re-creation of two men's careers. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 314-631-8330.
