Runway Wishes, Fashionable Dreams

As humans, it's only natural that we're most interested in things that are forbidden. The Lambada? Doin' it right now at the desk. The Palace Museum in Beijing? Been there, seen that. Forbidden Fashion at the Mad Art Gallery (2727 South 12th Street)? Tickets, please! So you know you're attending this chic spring fashion show, put on by the Time boutique, but keep reading to ensure that you're fully prepared for the evening of designer duds. First, buy your ticket in advance — call the presenting shop at 314-644-2055, or see www.thetimeboutique.net. Admission costs $50 to $65 (there's a cash bar), and proceeds benefit BUILD St. Louis. Next, show up at the host venue, having donned "pulp-glam attire," at 7 p.m. sharp — you don't want to miss a thing. Finally, bring a notebook, so you can jot down all of the items you'll need from the featured designers and brands (including Kara Janx, Lara Miller, SoHung Tong, i.sheff, Suva and Skunkfunk). Oh, and make sure you have enough paper — the models strut the mile of style for two shows throughout the event.
