Say Anything

Wednesday, March 22. Creepy Crawl (3524 Washington Avenue)

"Basically I lost my mind again," Say Anything epicenter Max Bemis posted online after canceling last summer's tour in support of his debut full-length, ....Is a Real Boy. "I had full-on paranoid delusions which could have really screwed me up if I didn't get to the mental hospital." If there really is a fine line between genius and insanity, Bemis treads it with style. Though he was previously admitted during Boy's recording process, the result was a first-person emo-rock opera that alternately roars, soars, swings and sweats. As writer George Eliot once said, "There is no feeling....that does not find relief in music." Now that Bemis is back on the road, see if you and he can't find some emotional relief together.
