Seasons of the Cycle

Oh, the joys of winter. It's cold and disgusting outside, but eventually it will become endurable; after that comes the gorgeous, perfect weather for enjoying the out-of-doors. And what's better than hopping on your bike for the first decent, if not pleasurable, ride? You should definitely have a topnotch velocipede for this endeavor. Lucky for you, the 2011 Midwest Bicycle Expo & Swap Meet is today! From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can bring in your old parts that you can't stand to look at anymore (and didn't get anything for on eBay) and find something you actually want instead. It's $5 to get in and $5 to sell parts, but once you're through the door, you can talk to different vendors from around town, check out the Classic Bike Show (or enter your own for $5), recycle your old tubes or bid in the silent auctions. The Midwest Bicycle Expo & Swap Meet takes place once again at Gateway Center (One Gateway Drive, Collinsville, Illinois). For more information, visit the website at www.trailnet.org/swap or call 314-416-9930.
