Seuss on the Loose

For those who remember Foo-Foo the Snoo
Or the first time that Horton heard a Who,
There's good news from the people at the Broadway Center of Arts —
Hold on to those thumpuling-tumpuling hearts!
They're presenting the stupendous Seussical
(The Dr. Seuss-set-to-show-tunes musical),
Which follows the story of heroic Horton
As he pains to protect the Who-Ville short'uns.
There's a subplot from heavy-heart Gertrude McFuzz,
Who envies Mayzie La Bird's tail-feather buzz.
The show features creatures from other Seuss books
Like Butter Side Uppers and Downers and Kooks
And the Sneetches and their Star-Bellied Traitors,
With the Cat in the Hat as the show's star narrator.
The Broadway Center is at 124-126 East Main Street;
Going to Belleville, Illinois, is a rollicking-frolicking treat!
The show's at 7 p.m. Thursday to Sunday (that's 27 to 30 o' July),
And tickets are priced so low that they cannot be called high:
Only $12 or $10 for students and seniors,
So call 618-233-0431 and get yers!
July 27-30
