Sharing Is Caring

It happens every holiday season: You find yourself back in your old bedroom, eying your posters of Jessica Simpson and Maroon 5, and you start digging through your closet to find those old yearbooks and journals from your formative years. Before you break out the platform sneakers and Old Navy sweatpants, take those bottled emotions to Foam (3359 South Jefferson Avenue; 314-772-2100 or at 8 p.m. tonight to join in the Minor Lament. This open mic invites participants to share six minutes of their past angst-filled years by reading old journal entries, letters, blog entries or AIM chats with a crowd that has probably been there themselves. If you feel compelled to share, consider this one step closer to that teen movie open mic night moment you always dreamed of -- but now you can buy yourself a real drink once it's over. Admission to Minor Lament is free.
