Sharknado 90210

After producers called a wrap on Beverly Hills, 90210, Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders) disappeared from the limelight, eventually accepting a gig in Las Vegas as a Chippendales dancer. But with the release of the 2013 Syfy schlockfest Sharknado, which Ziering jokingly calls his "John Travolta Pulp Fiction moment," he has reinvented himself as an action hero, rappelling off bridges and chainsawing his way out of the bellies of great white sharks. He'll be taking on more tornado-tossed man-eaters when Sharknado 2: The Second One premieres later this month. The RiffTrax team (all Mystery Science Theater 3000 alumni, so you can trust them) breaks out its lampoon harpoons to take on the semi-aquatic menace of the original Sharknado in a special live simulcast. RiffTrax Live: Sharknado screens tonight at 7 p.m. at the AMC Chesterfield 14 (3000 Chesterfield Mall, Chesterfield) and other area cinemas. Admission is $12.50.
