Shifting Gears

The bikers come out at night

You love the idea of a nighttime group cycling event, but you were far too chicken to disrobe for the recent World Naked Bike Ride. What to do? Why, just head downtown for the Moonlight Ramble! This ride kicks off from North 14th and Chestnut streets at 12:01 a.m. tonight, and the cost to participate is $10 to $25. You'll be in good company: Around 10,000 riders participate each year! This fundraiser for the Gateway Council of Hostelling International USA offers up an eighteen-mile ride and an easy nine-mile route, both of which are kept secret, and an after-party sweetens the deal. To register or learn more information, call 314-644-4660 or visit; helmets are required for all bikers.
