Shock the Orchestra

Maybe this modern technology thing's gonna work out all right. Thanks to ever-improving 3-D technology, more and more rock stars seem interested in presenting their live shows in theaters via 3-D film. Admittedly, it's not like being there in person, but it is a damn sight better than buying the tour DVD and watching it at home. And of course early-adapter Peter Gabriel would be one of the performers to take advantage of the technological possibilities. Peter Gabriel and New Blood Live in London: In 3-D features the art-pop superstar in a pre-recorded live performance from the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London. Gabriel runs through songs from his most recent album, Scratch My Back, as well as re-interpreting classic Gabriel songs for the New Blood Orchestra. Peter Gabriel and New Blood Live screens at 7:30 p.m. at the AMC Chesterfield 14 (3000 Chesterfield Mall, Chesterfield; www.fathomevents.com). Tickets are $15.
