The gore-laden, cult-classic film Evil Dead has risen from the grave once again — and this time, it's a musical! Adapted from the Sam Raimi/Bruce Campbell film series, Evil Dead: The Musical relates the blood-drenched tale of your typical college students who visit a cabin in the woods, stumble upon the Book of the Dead and then must do battle with a host of otherworldly evils. Standard seating is $18 to $20, and for the adventurous, a select number of seats are available to souls brave enough who dare to enter the Stray Dog Splatter Zone. Tickets for these cost $35 and include "an exclusive T-shirt with just enough white space to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir." Evil Dead: The Musical is unleashed at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (October 14 through 30) at the Tower Grove Abbey (2336 Tennessee Avenue; 314-865-1995 or www.straydogtheatre.org). Because of the graphic nature of the show, no one younger than eighteen will be admitted without a consenting guardian present.

JUST ADDED! Owing to popular demand, Evil Dead: The Musical will play one additional show at 7 p.m. on Halloween night, Sunday, October 31.
Thursdays-Saturdays; Sun., Oct. 31. Starts: Oct. 14. Continues through Oct. 30, 2010
