South Asia Fantasia

St. Louisans are a lucky bunch. We have stellar architecture, verdant parks, friendly corner bars and a hassle-free interstate system (tee hee, just kidding about that last one). We also have approximately two metric tons of great cultural events. Today, head to the Columns Banquet and Conference Center (711 Veterans Memorial Parkway, St. Charles) for the South Asia Heritage Fair. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., people from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and other South Asian countries share information about their nations’ cultures and histories. And if you didn’t get your fill of delicacies at the Festival of Nations two weeks ago, you’re in luck: The South Asia Heritage Fair features plenty of food booths (please, please, please let there be Pakistani nahiri and Nepalese mo-mos). Admission to the fair is free; call 636-947-4729 or visit www.sahf2007.com for more information.
