Spirits in the Night Sky

St. Louis is chock-full of urban legends and ghost stories: The Lemp Mansion is haunted by a cadre of family ghosts, the spirit of Molly Crenshaw lingers in St. Charles county, and "Zombie Road" spooks generations of teens in West County, just to name a few. Decide for yourself if its spiritualism or speculation tonight, when the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial presents Gateway to the Stars -- Ghosts of the Arch Grounds from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. beneath the North leg of the Gateway Arch (314-655-1614 or www.nps.gov/jeff). Guests are invited to star-gaze through telescopes provided by the St. Louis Astronomical Society while National Park Service volunteers share stories of historic city buildings, people and river boats that were purportedly haunted. Admission is free.
