The arrival of springtime weather — no matter how scattershot it is — brings with it a renewed sense of happiness and joy. You're just so glad to be out of those drab winter clothes and heading toward warmer temperatures that you could dance all day! And you're not alone: The Slaughter Project presents UnBOUND, the dance collective's spring concert. Make a clean break from those winter doldrums at the Center of Creative Arts (524 Trinity Avenue, University City) when the five-year-old company brings fresh works to the stage. Expect to see pieces choreographed by Cecil Slaughter, Erin Warner, Jun Cai and others, as well as a guest performance by Alicia Graf, an Alvin Ailey alum. Tickets for this performance cost $15 to $20 (at 314-534-1111 or www.metrotix.com), and shows happen at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday (March 20 and 21).
