Strength Beyond Seasons 

Arm-wrestling can help decide whose arms are stronger, determine whose turn it is to spin the chore wheel, and in the case of the Solstice Smackdown, promote feminism and women's empowerment. Presented by charismatic superheroes the Saint Louis Lady Arm Wrestlers, the Smackdown offers some arm-wrestling performance art, a solid amount of fun and a whole lot of fundraising -- the proceeds from this event benefit Venus Envy's scholarship fund for women taking art classes. Be a part of the positivity and support strong women (and their strong biceps and triceps) by heading to the 2720 Cherokee Performing Arts Center, intuitively located at 2720 Cherokee Street, at 8 p.m. Admission costs $5, and all proceeds go to the cause; check out www.clawstl.tumblr.com to learn more.
