When they realize that their peaceful protests are having no effect, the working women that are the early foot soldiers of the movement to grant women the right to vote in England resort to more desperate tactics. Now the state is cracking down, the women are forced underground to continue their fight for dignity and the streets are close to chaos as tensions mount and tempers flare.
