Cbabi Bayoc is nothing if not busy. When he’s not running SweetArt, the bakery/café he co-owns with his wife, Reine, he’s painting portraits in his signature, abstract-caricature style -- many of which adorn SweetArt's walls. Throughout 2012, Cbabi will work on an interactive, creative New Year’s Resolution called “365 Days with Dad,” which involves him painting a portrait of a father figure each and every day. Somehow, he still found time to finish Birds & Words, a series of paintings featuring, well, birds and words. The exhibit opens with a reception at Aisle 1 Gallery (2627 Cherokee Street; 314-330-8869) from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, March 9.
