If you're dying for more Downton Abbey, or at the very least something that hearkens back to the style of Downton Abbey, the Missouri Botanical Garden (4344 Shaw Boulevard; 314-577-5100 or www.mobot.org) has you covered. The nineteenth-century country home of Henry Shaw -- the Victorian visionary who turned his estate into the Garden --- is decorated for the season in the style of Shaw's day. A Victorian Christmas at Tower Grove House features exquisite wreaths and garlands, and even a Christmas tree done up in the muted-yet-stately style popular during Queen Victoria's (and Lady Mary's) reign. New this year is the activity corner for children, with ready-to-color, tree-themed ornaments and a free coloring book, A Cold Winter's Evening in Shaw's Garden. Tower Grove House is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday (November 20 through January 5). Admission is free with regular Garden admission.
Wednesdays-Fridays, Sundays. Starts: Nov. 20. Continues through Jan. 5, 2013
