Tavolo V

Tavolo V is the fifth (hence the roman numeral) restaurant in Michael Del Pietro’s stable. The menu closely follows the template of his original spot, Sugo’s Spaghetteria, in its concentration on affordable and generously portioned pasta dishes (giant meatballs; a huge serving of lasagna) and Neapolitan-ish pizza. Tavolo V pays special attention to vegetables, offering numerous appetizers, some fried, some grilled, some raw. The “Funghi” pasta dish — made with shiitake and crimini mushrooms, garlic (raw and roasted alike) and spinach and a splash of truffle oil — is so meaty you won’t miss the meat.
