"Kounter Kulture is an amazing place, not just to eat, to experience. You can feel the owners' passion for food in the air. If you have any questions about the menu, be prepared for a beautiful description if you ask! That being said, the food is something genuinely special. Blues City Deli
(2438 McNair Avenue, 314-773-8225)
"This is such an awesome sandwich place! For a place to have hundreds and hundreds of reviews and maintain 5 stars, this was a must try for my boyfriend and I when visiting St Louis. We went at a weird time in the afternoon, around 2pm, however it still had a line! Not huge, but it's still there. Even our driver was jealous we were going to eat there for lunch." - Mimi H. via Yelp

Nathaniel Reid Bakery
(11243 Manchester Road, Kirkwood; 314-858-1019)
"When you walk in, you will be impressed by their beautiful display of chocolates and misc. baked goods and pastries, including delicate macaroons. I got a croissant with chicken salad and my coworker got another croissant and I can't recall what it was even though we both split ours with each other. That croissant was, undoubtably, the best one I have ever had! It was large and flaky and held up to the chicken salad, which was also delicious." - Kim K. via Yelp

Sameem Afghan Restaurant
(4341 Manchester Avenue, 314-534-9500)
"Sameem's is an excellent spot for ethnic food. Afghan food has similarities to Persian, using a lot of spices, lamb, and rice. I personally like Afghan a bit better, but it might be that Sameem's is just better. My husband and I came here for lunch mid-week. Their service is fast and the food was delicious. He ordered the lamb beriani and I had the Afghani Muntoo. The beriani was very flavorful and is a large portion. Either come hungry, prepared to take home a portion, or ready to split with someone." - Mindi A. via Yelp

Egg
(2200 Gravois Avenue, 314-202-8244)
"Breakfast at Egg is an experience! Their coffee is phenomenal and has no bitter taste at all and you can drink it black. Had the scrambled eggs with a side of chorizo and avocado. The chorizo was delicious, the avocado perfectly ripe, and the eggs were fresh from the farm..; The French toast is to die for with locally picked berries. Would highly recommend this for anyone needing an excellent coffee, breakfast, and service! (Side note: lots of keto friendly options, too!)" - Crystal G. via Yelp

Lona's Lil Eats
(2199 California Avenue, 314-899-5582)
"I was headed to St. Louis for a business trip and happened to see that the chef of a restaurant I was considering visiting was a James Beard semi-finalist! Needless to say, I had to visit and try Lona's for myself. I am happy to report that, not only was I impressed, I was blown away! Each person at my table was immediately impressed with the flavor of the food. My brisket was very good and the smoked vinaigrette, that I was not originally going to try, was so subtle yet had great depth and was the perfect pairing to the brisket and wine. For my side I ordered the ginger peanut lime salad, a cabbage based salad, with a fantastic sauce. The potstickers are made to order. They were delicious and the accompanying sauce was very good as well." - Robin C. via Yelp

Adam's Smokehouse
(2819 Watson Road, 314-875-9890)
"A humble place but super rich in taste! The meats we tried we delicious. Tri tip sandwich and pit beans with slaw is what my husband ordered and I had the brisket sandwich and slaw with chips. What I loved about this sandwich was the tender meat and so delectable! Smoky but not over barring. I also liked that you decide on how much sauce to have with your sandwich." - Rocky S. via Yelp

Medina Mediterranean Grill
(1327 Washington Avenue, 314-241-1356)
"The food is definitely unique, this restaurant is a combination of traditional Mediterranean cuisine & hip foods is the best explanation. The best way I can describe it is if you were vegan this wouldn't taste the same as most vegan type of restaurants, the food is very colorful as well. It should take more than 8 visits before you think anything here tastes repetitive." - Fuad A. via Yelp
