The Aviation Club

9 p.m. Friday, January 4. Off Broadway, 3509 Lemp Avenue.

To honor the first anniversary of the site, co-founder John "The Mailman" Korst is throwing a gig featuring local '80s pop institution the Aviation Club (according to a press release, playing songs that have gone unheard for twenty years). Proceeds from the show will go to A Thousand Books, an organization which sends English-language books to Peace Corps teachers.
