The Cycle of the Cockroach 

Offering insight into political violence in Rwanda, Grey Matter (Matière Grise) is a self-referential film within a film. Balthasar, an extremely motivated and determined filmmaker, sets out to produce his first feature film: The Cycle of the Cockroach. Grey Matter's narrative is centered on a brother and sister fighting to survive the aftershock of genocide, experiencing The Cycle first-hand. Webster University's Film Series screens Grey Matter in the Moore Auditorium (470 East Lockwood) on July 10 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Ticket are $4 to $6 and are free for Webster students.
