The Green of Arts

As its name would indicate, Art Saint Louis (www.artstlouis.org) works hard to provide St. Louisans access to artworks at an assortment of venues, from displaying works in its own gallery space to placing pieces at various businesses and restaurants around town. In other words, this nonprofit does a lot for your visual landscape! But what exactly do you do for Art Saint Louis? Don’t answer that; it’s too embarrassing. Instead, just head over to the gorgeous 9th Street Abbey (1808 South Ninth Street; 314-621-9598 or www.pattylongcatering.com) any time from 5 to 9 p.m. for a Party on the Patio fundraiser. This week’s installment of the almost-weekly events features a pomegranate “Artini,” an art game and some real, live artists! Plus, the free hors d’oeuvres won’t disappoint because they are courtesy of Patty Long Catering. Admission to the party is free, but bring along some cash: Your tips and a portion of the bar ring benefit Art Saint Louis.
