Warmth is not just something that can be achieved on the outside with the help of cozy sweaters and woolen scarves; no, sometimes it's a feeling that comes from within. Like when you give thoughtful gifts to those on your holiday list. And when you eat something particularly tasty and wash it down with a little hooch, hic, we mean wine. Yep, achieving a state of warmth and keeping it throughout the holiday season should be your goal, and the Sheldon (3648 Washington Boulevard; 314-533-9900, extension 14, or www.sheldonconcerthall.org) aims to help with its Winter Warming Wine & Holiday Market. This event will get you fired up with scrumptious snacks from Bryan Young Catering Plus (smokin'!), Terrene (roastin'!), Wild Flower (sizzlin'!), Kitchen K (simmerin'!) and more, and you're bound to be a bit toasty after sampling a few wines and liqueurs. Plus, warm your heart with lovely gift purchases from Tiny Montgomery, Third Degree Glass Factory, Moon Day Soul Treats and others. Admission to the hot time costs $35 per person, and this fundraiser for the Sheldon Art Galleries takes place from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
