The International Language Is Dance

(Not Esperanto)

Do you like dancing? Do you like the world? Then you're pretty much qualified to check out Club Viva!'s World Music Night at 9 p.m. If you don't know how to dance, but you still like the world, you can arrive early (at 8:30 p.m.) for free salsa lessons. That way you'll understand how to swing your hips when the party officially starts. If you know how to dance but don't like the world (shame!), you should still go to the event to meet people from the far reaches of the globe. The Young Friends Network of the International Institute of Saint Louis will be there shakin' it and showing you world-haters that the international language is spoken in dance and drinks and fun. Plus, maybe you can learn to say "cheers" in different languages! (There are no official lessons offered in this particular skill. Just ask the internationals; it's a nice way to make friends.) Admission costs $5 for the men and $3 for the ladies (a portion of the proceeds benefits the institute), and Club Viva! is located at 408 North Euclid Avenue (314-361-0322). Visit or for more information.
