The Land of Many Palaces 

Change in one form or another hits us all nonstop, but in China it seems to arrive at warp speed. The documentary The Land of Many Palaces focuses on the Chinese government's plan, conceived and to be executed on a massive, mind-blowing scale, to relocate 250 million farmers to cities around the country over the next twenty years. A government official whose task is to convince farmers to move, along with a recalcitrant farmer in one of last remaining villages in the region, bring the gargantuan project down to human scale.
