The Mike Talayna's Jukebox Building on Hampton Is For Sale [PHOTOS]

For those of us who would love to live inside a disco ball, the style of Mike Talayna’s Jukebox building on Hampton Avenue was heaven.

Fully mirrored inside with blacklights glowing pink and purple, the inside of this restaurant-cum-nightclub was a dizzying experience — and not just because of the boatloads of alcohol they served there.

Now the legendary St. Louis building is for sale, and it looks completely unchanged from when it shut down last August because of pandemic-related restrictions on nightclubs.

This location was one of a few around town carrying the Talayna’s name. The other Talayna’s locations were family restaurants that weren’t at all like this hard-partying karaoke joint on Hampton.

But if you’re missing that famous Talayna’s pizza, have no fear. You can still get it at the only remaining Talayna’s location in Chesterfield (68 Four Seasons Shopping Center, 314-469-6650).

The Chesterfield location has been open for 38 years, and owner Mehdi Rouhani says they’re “not going anywhere.” In fact, in addition to running a robust catering business and expanding their hours at the Chesterfield spot, they’re also looking to expand back into the city.

So pour one out for Mike Talayna’s Jukebox, but keep hope. Maybe somebody will buy it and turn it into something cool.
