The Red Lion

Dubbing itself an "American gastro pub," Red Lion lies in the main drag of Maplewood's shopping and dining district. Complex burgers and sandwiches dominate the pub's menu, such as the soft-cheddar burger, a half-beef, quarter-pork and quarter-lamb served with bacon, onions, barbecue sauce and that soft English cheese, or the "Frisco Beef Eater" sandwich, with Italian beef, green chiles, and Provel and Monterey jack cheeses. T-ravs are also served, with Provel sauce, to ensure that the St. Louis natives get their fill of the hometown cheese. The Red Lion has a large deck for warmer weather days, and wooden booths and tables surround the inside.
