Burlesque, circus and vaudeville-style acts were presented over three days this weekend for the 8th annual Show Me Burlesque Festival, the largest festival of its kind in the Midwest. Presented by Lola van Ella of Van Ella Studios and featuring performers from all over the country, the festival included a Speakeasy Soiree at Thaxton Speakeasy
(1009 Olive St.) to kick off the weekend, Burlesque Bingo at the Crack Fox
(1114 Olive St., 314-621-6900), a risque performance and party known as the Red Light Revue at 2720 Cherokee Performing Arts Center
(2720 Cherokee St., 314-875-0233), and the Spectaculaire! finale at Casa Loma Ballroom
(3354 Iowa Ave., 314-282-2258).
RFT was there Saturday night to capture the Spectaculaire!, an evening of vaudeville, variety and late-night talk-show-style acts that included striptease, tricks, comedy and more. Take a look at all the shenanigans right here.
