The Sign of the Supercross

If you're like us, you have often wondered about the different kinds of motorcycle-based activities available to sports fans. Motocross takes place on natural terrain with very few man-made obstacles. Supercross, however, lets man's imagination go wild, turning an unassuming arena into a dirt-filled combination of whoops, triples and more (supercross parlance for jumps and bumps). You can see this completed transformation in person when your town's humble Edward Jones Dome (Broadway and Washington Avenue) hosts the Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series event. The main action starts at 7 p.m., offering an evening of dirt-spitting, high-flying action. Tickets range from $10 to $45, with a family section available for an alcohol-free atmosphere. Call Ticketmaster at 314-241-1888 or visit for ticket information.
