Familial relationships are the first we encounter in this life, and for many of us they will also be the last ones we are struggling to figure out. Julia Glass has created a reputation for herself by delving into that complicated consanguinity, particularly between siblings. Her most recent book, I See You Everywhere, examines the lives of sisters Louisa and Clem. Separated by four years of age and a gulf of differences, the two are reunited by the death of their great-aunt after a period of relative estrangement. Like Glass' previous novels, The Whole World Over and Three Junes, I See You Everywhere is a sweeping character study, examining their competitive relationship over a 25-year span told from both points of view. Glass discusses the book tonight at 7 p.m. at St. Louis County Library Headquarters (1640 South Lindbergh Boulevard, Frontenac; 314-994-3300 or There will be an onstage interview followed by an audience Q&A, moderated by Debbie Monterrey, co-host of Total Information AM on KMOX (1120 AM). The discussion is free; books for signing will be available for purchase from Barnes & Noble.
