This documentary presents the extraordinary true story of a Broadway comedian compelled by the pain of war to give up his national citizenship and become the first official World Citizen. In 1948, after receiving 13 curtain calls as Danny Kaye's understudy, Garry Davis gave up a promising Broadway career, wealth and family-ties to embark upon a bold adventure. With a single act of courage, this song and dance man sparks a huge people power movement that draws Albert Einstein, Albert Camus and a cast of thousands into an amazing journey that Martin Sheen calls “a roadmap to a better future.”
