They Vie for the Belt

As you loosen yours

The Schlafly beers have been training for months. They've been working on getting their heads right, and they've been trying to perfect the smooth finish. Not to be outdone, the Majestic wines have been paying extra attention to their moves, too, even though they're favored to win this next fight. And now it's time. All of the hard work comes down to this: the Beer vs. Wine Dinner, hosted by the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel (7730 Bonhomme Avenue). As you enjoy a yummy five-course dinner prepared by executive chef Christian Gullet, the five-round battle royal between the beverages will be hard-fought. Every course features a different representative from each contender group, and it is up to you to decide which drink better suits that course's dish. Will APA beat out the Freemark Abbey merlot as you feast on rack of lamb? And will cheese pair better with the beer or the wine selection during the first course? Pay $75 to find out (and vote!) for yourself! The meal runs from 6 to 10 p.m., and proceeds benefit the Gateway chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Call 314-719-4318 for your ring-side seat.
