This Week

It's always been said that the great works must begin by being compared to the ones that came before. For example, Christopher Jackson's new play, Do Us Part, is described as part Wait Until Dark and part Deathtrap. The psychological thriller -- which opens this week, with performances through Feb. 27 -- ought to satisfy a variety of tastes through laughs and screams. Do Us Part is the latest installment of one of St. Louis' most prominent local playwrights, and in this production it stars (clockwise from top) Jeffrey Scott Yapp, Justin Heinrich, Christy Butero and Adam Lewis, with the writer himself as director. The St. Marcus Theatre, always a great stage for local artists coming into their own, will house all seven of the productions shows of the run.
