Those Streaky, Freaky Blue Notes

Despite a shaky route so far, it would be a dire mistake to count the St. Louis Blues out of the NHL West. Remember last year? The 'Note caught fire in the second half of the season and skated to the playoffs. Keep the following in mind, too: the Blues were a playoff contender every season from 1980 to 2004, the third longest streak in North American pro sports history. So, believe in your team, St. Louis hockey fans. Tonight at Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue; 314-241-1888 or www.scottradecenter.com), you can show your loyalty when the St. Louis Blues take on the Nashville Predators. The puck drops at 7 p.m., and tickets are $22 to $237. The perfect antidote to the post-Christmas blues? The Blues, of course.
