For more than a decade, Tim Kasher has guided Cursive and the Good Life through concept albums about weighty topics such as God and marriage. It's not like he necessarily needed to go his own way this time around, but his debut solo release, The Game of Monogamy, is a cathartic, brutally honest trip through his love life. Strings, horns, synths and drumming from Minus the Bear's Erin Tate bolster the studio versions of Monogamy's songs. Live, Kasher isn't afraid to dive into Cursive and the Good Life's back catalog, and he's been known to dust off some tasteful covers as well.
