Maybe you've enjoyed some of Frank Lloyd Wright's works in Chicago, at Taliesin and Taliesin West, or simply in the serenity of Ebsworth Park in Kirkwood. But we're betting you haven't been to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to see the master's only skyscraper — and we're thinking you're going to want to get out there after viewing Prairie Skyscraper: Frank Lloyd Wright's Price Tower, the new exhibit at the St. Louis Artists' Guild (2 Oak Knoll Park, Clayton; 314-727-6266 or This show displays photographs and artifacts that explain the tower's history and showcase its design. It was intended to be a multipurpose structure, built for the H.C. Price Company, and nowadays, the striking 50-year-old building serves as the home of a hotel, gallery, restaurant and more. The free opening reception for Prairie Skyscraper runs from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, and the show remains up through Saturday, March 3. Four other exhibits, including a children's show and a Milton Geis retrospective, open at the guild on the same day.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Dec. 17. Continues through March 3
