Perhaps you remember the big-in-the-’80s-fad of Choose Your Own Adventure books. These analog relatives of the then-popular “interactive fiction” computer games such as Zork and Colossal Cave Adventure gave you either/or options every few pages that allowed you to “determine” the outcome of each book. The drawback to these things was the obvious dearth of graphics -- a problem that’s been solved in nifty fashion by the Randy Dandies with their first-ever Choose Your Own Adventure burlesque show, The Last of the Glamazons. Dandy Jack Deuce will serve as narrator, offering you options as you go in search of the sexy Glamazons, who will provide eye-popping graphics of the sort never seen in a CYA book (ah, if only …). Choose wisely, or you may run into trouble; it will undoubtedly be trouble of the disrobing sort, but still -- your goal is the Glamazons, so stay focused on the mission. The Last of the Glamazons takes place at 9:30 p.m. at the Firebird (2706 Olive Street; www.firebirdstl.com). Special guests the Musical Blades, a ribald pirate singing group, open the show. Tickets are $12 to $15, and if you wear a CYA-type costume to the show you’ll receive a prize.
