Two Gentlemen of Lebowski

When: Thu., April 20, 7 p.m. 2017
Price: free admission
Shake 38 is in full swing, which means for the next few days you'll find Shakespeare's works everywhere you go in the city. If you end up at Ryder's Tavern (4123 Chippewa Street; www.sfstl.com) tonight at 7 p.m., you can experience Magic Smoking Monkey's Two Gentlemen of Lebowski, a strange, rug-based skewering of Two Gentlemen of Verona. The Knave is a most casual fellow and a most serious bowler whose favorite rug has been burgled. Forsooth, he liketh this not. He's soon wrapped up in a mystery that threatens his life and might perhaps put the kibosh on his bowling team's dream of winning the league championship. But the Knave has Sir Walter and Sir Donald on his side, so the whole thing might end as satisfactorily as a well-struck seven-ten split. Admission is free. This is a 21-and-older show.
