Glamour. Passion. Wealth. Sex. If you desire these things, you need to be at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters branch (1640 South Lindbergh Boulevard, Frontenac; 314-994-9411 or at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, as best-selling novelist and total stunner Jackie Collins pops in to discuss her latest Lucky Santangelo novel, Drop Dead Beautiful. Collins is the mistress of the blistering beach book, that hardcover scorcher you swear you’ll never read and then end up devouring on your vacation. Don’t even feel bad about loving her work -- the books may be rife with the bedroom antics of the rich and beautiful, but they’re guilt-free pleasures. Admission for Thursday night's event is free, but you must purchase your copy of Drop Dead Beautiful from Left Bank Books in order to get an autograph. And if you can’t get enough of that glitzy stuff, Ms. Collins visits Harrah’s Casino (777 Casino Center Drive, Maryland Heights) at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 13.
