Weekend of Wining

Ms. Day really loves her wine. She enjoys drinking it with olives and cheese, and dinner and dessert, but she will never have a glass before noon. So it’s good that the St. Louis Wine Festival in Forest Park (www.stlouiswinefestival.com) doesn’t begin until noon on both Saturday and Sunday (September 29 and 30) -- Ms. Day won’t have to miss any of the vintage fun! Tickets to the fest cost $20 to $25, and for that fair price, everyone receives a souvenir glass and ten tasting tickets. But because there are more than 150 wines offered up for the sipping, Day’s thinking she’ll have to buy another tasting booklet for $5. She’ll also enjoy dishes from local restaurants and live music, and her designated driver will have fun, too, especially since he’ll get in for a reduced rate ($10 to $15). For more information about the St. Louis Wine Festival or to purchase tickets in advance, call 888-210-0074.
