We're Really Gonna Rock (the Mic) Tonight

The Observable Readings series has, again, cleverly grouped poets (all three are named Robin; spellings vary) for a night that has the makings of a "real wingding." Robin Behn is an award-winning author and a professor in the master's creative-writing program at the University of Alabama, and Robyn Schiff is a visiting assistant professor of English at Northwestern University and the author of a collection of poems mentioned on Fence's "Most Notable Books" list in 2002. Both join another Robin — Robin Beth Schaer — a nominee for a Pushcart Prize and the chief online editor at the Academy of American Poets. The evening of reading, dubbed "Rockin' Robins," begins at 8 p.m. at the Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Avenue, Maplewood; 314-241-2337), and admission is free (though a dollar donation would be appreciated). Visit observable.org/readings for more information about the series and tonight's event.
